Something on my mind (Ask the Experts): An interaction session with psychiatrists, 30th January, 4:00 p.m.
Hello everyone! Greetings from the IISc Wellness Centre. “What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, and more unashamed conversation.” – Glenn Close We are glad to organize the 5th session of “Something on my mind” (previously “ask the experts”). The pandemic continues to take a toll on the various aspects of our lives- be it work, academics, personal life, or health. Here is the opportunity to clear any of your doubts on mental well-being, due to the pandemic or otherwise.
Date and time: 30th January, Saturday, 4:00 p.m.
About the event: We present you with a panel of experts- consulting psychiatrists- who will address your questions directly during the session. You can submit your questions via Google forms (link below). Attending this session will also help you understand what others are going through, and some common doubts we all have. As with many other things, we need to address mental health more openly and treat it as a priority, along with our physical well-being. Having open discussions about mental health helps reduce the stigma surrounding it. So, feel free to ask any question, about anything that has been bothering you, making you feel stressed, anxious or insecure. This is a judgement-free zone. Hope to see you there!
The panellists include:
Dr Divya Ganesh Nallur, Consulting Psychiatrist
Dr V.A.P. Ghorpade, Consulting Psychiatrist
Dr Vyjayanthi Subramaniyam, Consulting Psychiatrist
There will also be a chance to ask questions directly to the experts during the event. We will try to cover as many as queries possible within the time available. This is a monthly session that is conducted on the last Saturday of every month. Questions not covered in a particular session will be taken up in the subsequent sessions.
Thanks and best regards,
